 Rods and fibres



                                                 
We produce glass rods with nearly all measurements possible between 0.07 - 40 mm in the following glass qualities
 
ㆍ Borosilicate glass 3.3
ㆍ Soda glass
ㆍ Quartz glass
ㆍ Lead glass
ㆍ Aluminium silicate glass
ㆍ Coloured glass
ㆍ Kovar glass
ㆍ Optical glass ( B270 )
ㆍ Glass qualities supplied by our customer
ㆍ Special glasses ( as far as available )

       You will receive the rods ready-cut into lengths from 1 mm up to excessive lengths of up to 2,000 mm. The ends of the rods can be prepared for different kinds of applications.
The ends may be treated the following ways 
ㆍ Cut
ㆍ Grinded
ㆍ Broken
ㆍ Fire-polished
ㆍ Rounded off in round shape
ㆍ Rounded off in spherical shape
ㆍ Drawn out or chamfered
In some glass qualities, like borosilicate glass, we are in a position to produce different kinds of profiles in addition to the round standard rods, as follows
ㆍ oval
ㆍ rectangular
ㆍ square
ㆍ semicircular
Further manufacturing operations are possible, please ask our sales department for an individual solution to meet your demands.
 
 Flat rectengular glass rods

Beside the round shape we can also manufacture other shapes like rectangular or square rods. These rods can also be drawn to smaller rods 

and fibres, which allows to combine them to an array of flat parallel orientated fibres.
